What You’ll Do
- Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements
- Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
- Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
- Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
- Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
- Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice
- Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable)
- Current NCCPA national certification required
- Degree from ARC-PA accredited program
- Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
- MUST have schedule flexibility to work in our various Nursing home locations including available to work on Saturdays
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant
