Full Job Description

As a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Regions Hospital, you’ll find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year. Our Emergency Department has 55 treatment bays and is designed to treat patients in acuity-based care pods. Regions Hospital is one of only three hospitals in Minnesota that is verified as a Level I Trauma Center for both adults and for children with the expertise and technology to treat the most serious injuries 24/7. The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care including obtaining histories, examining patients, ordering appropriate labs and x-rays, performing minor procedures, discussing treatment plans and following up with patients and their families. Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
  • Physician Assistant certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Current Minnesota license
  • BLS
  • ACLS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience ED/Emergency Medicine or urgent Care PA experience
  • ATLS/PALS
