FT position available (40 hours), primarily days, 10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
Opportunity for a NP/PA to work in a fast paced, clinically challenging environment. Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient management of transplant patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team caring for Transplant surgery, Liver, Kidney and Pancreas Transplant patients. Outpatient responsibilities includemanagement of post liver transplant patient population, clinic visits, in-coming labs/imaging, patient calls and may include cross coverage as needed.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a dynamic multidisciplinary setting. There are multiple opportunities for involvement in research, committees, developing and maintaining policy and procedures as well as other academic pursuits. The candidate will serve as a resource to internal and external health care providers. The NP/PA is responsible for direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, education of patients and staff, assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital required reviews of practice and participation in performance and quality improvement and other activities as required.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.
Physician Assistant
Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $45.16-$67.74
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
