FT position, primarily days


A wonderful opportunity in the Division of Plastic Surgery to workas part of a teamin a nationally verified Burn Center. Kessler Burn Centermaintains theelite standards of a verified center,providing high quality and thorough care ofburn patients.Weare looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual with exceptional organizational skills to provide direct patient care to both inpatient and ambulatory Burn and Plastic Surgery patients of all ages. This individual should possess excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to critically think. Avital and valued part of the team, the APP ensures continuity of care for all patients. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training. The individual will collaboratively care for burn and plastic surgery patients with a multidisciplinary team. Inpatient duties to include:monitoring and managingadmitted burn patients, participating in wound and burn care, assisting with surgical procedures, and admitting and discharging patients. Ambulatory duties to include: the evaluation and management of acute burns,hand/facialfractures, skin lesions andother plastic surgery diagnoses; pre- and post-operative management, coordinate home services, triage and manage acute burns and post-op complications. As an autonomous provider, the APP will be able to bill for clinic and procedural services. The APP will be supported in conducting research and advancing clinical expertise.


Nurse Practitioner

Requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Physician Assistant

Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in goodstanding, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $44.71- $67.07

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
