The Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) works in a collaborative relationship with the Gastroenterology Physicians to oversee the care delivered to the patient population in the Highland Procedure Center and Highland Hospital.
Provide house coverage : rounding and responding to requests for GI consults
Assist with patient flow by discharging patients, writing prescriptions and completing consents per physician request
Assist with defined GI procedures such as PEG placement
Assist with pre-procedure H&Ps per physician request
Assist with eRecord orders per physician request
Quality improvement initiatives and data collection required to meet benchmarks per ASGE, CMS and other governing bodies
Attend monthly HPC Quality Team meetings
Available to assist the Blood Transfusion Program when necessary
Salary Range:
$98,000.00 – $126,235.00 annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements
- Education: Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed PA/NP in NYS
- Experience: 1-2 years in clinic or practice setting preferred
- License/Certification Required: Current valid license to practice as a PS/NP in NYS—National certification based on specialty practice preferred. Must be BLS certified, ACLS preferred
- Skills: Computer skills
