Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Urgent Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our fast-paced, patient-centered team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history intake to determine urgent healthcare needs.
- following HIPAA regulations and drug enforcement guidelines.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR/EHR systems , Athena, for accurate documentation and data collection.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists on complex cases involving critical care procedures, ventilator management, or trauma cases within Level I or Level II trauma center environments.
- Perform procedures including suturing, I&D, aseptic technique adherence, wound care, and basic life support interventions.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure.
- Demonstrated experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or critical care settings such as ICU or PICU.
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing.
- Experience with acute care procedures including suturing, I&D, and managing trauma.
- Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols and infection control practices.
- Ability to perform physical examinations thoroughly while adhering to aseptic techniques; excellent patient assessment skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.
- Critical care experience such as ICU or trauma center work is highly desirable; prior hospital or emergency room experience preferred.

Pay: $60.00 – $80.00 per hour
