We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist Team. The incumbent will be expected to function as an independent practitioner and provide comprehensive health care, assessment, education and counseling to patients.
The Advanced Practice Provider will perform histories and physicals on all admitted inpatients, perform medical consultations for all behavioral health patients as needed and attend rounds on the geripsych floor to proactively identify and address medical needs.
The APP will also assist with quality improvement activities and work with the hospitalist service to ensure proper protocols are covered during cross cover periods. On rare occaision the APP may need to assist the hosptialist service with clincial support on the medical floors.
Requirements:
- Must have graduated from an accredited institution as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Current Massachusetts licensure required.
- At least two years’ advanced practice experience in a hospital or critical care setting
