Advanced Practice Provider APP
Nurse Practitioner NP or Physician Assistant PA
Working under the general direction of a collaborating physician, the advanced practice clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) provides direct care to patients in a high volume clinical service. They develop, implement, and evaluate a program of specialized health care for a select patient population with cardiac arrhythmia. They will be intimately involved in direct care and education of patients, and should have experience working with arrhythmias and cardiac devices, such as implantable cardiac defibrillators, implantable loop recorders, and pacemakers. They promote a collaborative relationship among various health care providers toward continuity of patient care and efficient use of resources. They serve as a role model for professional medical practice in the management of patients with cardiovascular disease.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse in the expanded role (NP) or physician assistant
- Current Federal & Massachusetts licensures to dispense Controlled Substances
- Certification in advanced practice nursing or physician assistant
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
