Full Job Description
Coordinates and provides care for a group of patients spanning all age groups and cultures for a designated time frame using therapeutic means, the laboratory process, the environment/instrumentation and other health care team members while assuming responsibility and accountability for these patients; responsibilities are to provide patient care in an ambulatory care setting under the clinical supervision of a physician or MD within the guidelines of nursing process and nurse practitioner protocols as outlined in Patient Care Guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.

Educational Requirements: Master in Science in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner
License/Certification: CPR certification. MA NP license, DEA & Mass Controlled Substance Registration
Job Expectations:
60 – 70% administrative, covering inbox management based on the Primary Care site where assigned. This includes managing messages, refills, referrals, results, portal messages, etc with supervision
30 – 40% will be direct patient care, where in the day you will be scheduled to see patients in between covering inbox management. This may include same day, urgent care type visits, some physicals, ED follow ups, etc.
Important to note, this will be more focused on administrative work, not just clinical.
This will require being very flexible with travel on daily basis if needed, site to site.
Hours will be M – F, 8 – 5 pm
Main role is to cover LOA’s, departures, these types of needs. In event where we do not have this type of need, we will deploy based on greatest need to cover vacation or any other need based on business need but the full-time hours will be provided nonetheless.
Clinical supervision will be provided as they are traveling between sites.
They may not have a dedicated staff member per se, but will have clinical support when they are seeing patients & will be able to access resources at the site where they will be working.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school, master prepared with a degree as a Nurse Practitioner Massachusetts licensure.
- Departmental specialized training to provide care to patients within role and successful completion of SMH orientation program
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Command of verbal and written English
- Operation of clinical equipment demonstrates clinical competence,
- Positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills
- Three to five years medical office experience

Salary Range: $109,280.04-$171,079.79

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. For annual salaries this is based on full-time employment.
