Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Director to lead our psychiatric residential team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The Clinical Director will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including JCAHO and OIG. This role requires a strong background in residential care for teens and residential direct care administration, as well as the ability to foster a collaborative environment that promotes quality care.
Duties
- Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure all policies are adhered to.
- Manage and mentor clinical staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including JCAHO and OIG standards, to maintain accreditation and quality assurance.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures that promote best practices in residential care.
- Collaborate with other directors at other campuses.
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate training programs for staff de-escalation, resident care, trauma informed care, abuse and neglect, etc.
- Serve as a liaison between administration, clinical staff, and external stakeholders to promote effective communication.
- Ensure that all policies are adhered to regarding the assessment process, the admission process and discharge process.
- Ensure that the right’s of the residents have been explained to the residents and their guardians in a language they understand.
- Ensure that all abuse and neglect is reported immediately.
- Attend and participate in weekly doctor staffing and treatment teams with the residents.
- Oversee clinical staff
- Completion of clinical documentation each week.
- Ensure documentation meets Master Treatment Plan requirements.
- Review resident grievances and discuss with another therapist and Program Manager/Director if needed to ensure resident’s rights are not violated.
- Facilitate group therapy with another therapist.
- Assist with providing individual and family therapy to the residents.
Requirements
- 2 years of clinical experience working with adolescents.
- Strong knowledge of JCAHO and OIG standards.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with staff, residents, and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to enhance clinical operations.
- A Master’s degree in counseling, or higher.
- Commitment to providing high-quality resident care in a dynamic environment.
- On-call as needed to support residential staff in a crisis situation via phone or in-person.
- Must complete SCM course within first 40 hours of training.
- Must pass a background/CAN check and a drug screen.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
