Summary
As a Medical Assistant at Kentuckiana Ear, Nose & Throat, you will play an essential role in supporting our medical team and enhancing patient experiences. This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our clinics and ensuring high-quality care for our patients. You will traveling between Louisville and our Indiana location.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the clinical care of patients in an office setting.
- Perform patient physical exams, conduct technical in-office procedures, establish treatment plans, provide instructions, and prescribe medication under the supervision of physicians.
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Ensure timely and accurate charting and documentation across multiple electronic record platforms, including but not limited to Medent, in compliance with Employer standards, hospital policies, and state and federal medical billing regulations.
- Complete billing charges and revisions promptly upon request by the billing team.
- Maintain an active and valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Kentucky (and Indiana, if applicable), ensuring compliance with all state licensure requirements necessary for practice with ENT Care Centers.
- Provide coverage for patient schedules in clinics during physician vacations and time off, when possible.
- Participate in first-call coverage for Employer-contracted hospital Otolaryngology call.
- Complete all required training, licensure requirements, and compliance courses as assigned by the Employer, state and federal agencies, and affiliated hospitals.
- Adhere to clinic infection control and safety guidelines.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patient questions and concerns, including managing patient phone calls, triage, correspondence, and relaying relevant information to physicians.
- Maintain professional knowledge and meet continuing education and licensure requirements.
- Ensure strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist in the clinical care of patients in an office setting.

- Frequent computer screen exposure.
- Regular communication with office staff, providers, patients, and patient families.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
