Full Job Description

Job Location – Albion Indiana

All Candidates must be licensed by the State of Indiana with no stipulations. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be responsible for the healthcare of both female and male patients suffering from addictions and behavioral health issues. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing comprehensive history and physical examinations. NP/PA must be able to work with a team and complete task including coordinating and communicating treatments, medical plans, and records to other parts of the behavioral health team. Applicant should be familiarized with ordering and administering diagnostic, medical histories and requirements including prescription needs, and primary care needs for incoming clients. The NP/PA must be able to perform all duties independently with consult of collaborating physician and use safe practice standards according to any applicable practice acts.

4-weeks of vacation starting first year of employment

No weekly call requirement

Only 1 holiday per year required

Supportive provider network and Medical Scribe assistance

X number required (will assist with obtaining)

Reimbursement for “professional expenses” including licensing fees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· APN completed from and accredited school of Nursing

· All state licensure/certificates to practice. Current NCC PA certificate. Degree from ARC-PA accredited program

· At least 2 years prior experience as an NP/PA preferably with behavioral health experience. New grads are welcome / WILL TRAIN

· Active BLS certificate status

· Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPPA compliance

· Ability to work as a member of a team

· Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude

· Impeccable ethics, integrity, and patient relations skills

· Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills

· Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR

· Knowledge of “best practices” behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies

· Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills

· Ability to understand the requirements of the clientele

· DEA license and CSR

· Employee background check

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work closely with psych providers

· Comprehensive, physical exams upon admission, and weekly as required by standard of care

· Work with other behavioral health team members to communicate and coordinate prescriptions and treatment plans

· Report and communicate medical, psych histories as required by standard of care

· Document and report all client treatments, exams, and finding through EMR system

· Adherence to facility policy and procedures, State and Federal law, and Joint Commission accreditation regulations and standards
