Physician Assistant – Thoracic Surgery – Marietta, GA

WellStar Medical Group is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician Assistant for busy and well-established thoracic surgery group. This is a full-time position located at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, GA.

In this role you will collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.

Manage and coordinate the healthcare of patients in the inpatient setting, outpatient clinic, and first assistant in the OR. You will participate and rotate first call and weekends which is equally shared among five APPs.

Perform admissions, transfers and discharges for the thoracic surgery patient. Actively participate in the daily medical management of patients. Document, maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC).

Certified Physician Assistant. Previous operative experience as a PA in thoracic surgery or related surgical field.
