Nephrology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
We are looking for a NP or PA to join our nephrology practice. You will work alongside our nephrologists managing patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes, electrolyte disorders, complex medical regimens, multi-organ failure, and those on dialysis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting initial patient consultations, reviewing patient records, comprehensive patient evaluations, and follow-up visits.
- Managing CKD progression, anemia, bone mineral metabolism, hypertension, and other concurrent medical conditions.
- Ordering and interpreting labs, imaging, and other diagnostics.
- Co-manage patients in the office, dialysis units and possibly hospital.
- Participating in chronic disease management programs.
- Educating patients on kidney health, diet, and medication adherence, etc.
- Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, consultants, and referring physicians.
Requirements:
- Active PA or NP license with national certification.
- Nephrology, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice background is a plus.
- Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, and proficient skills that educate and inform patients and referring physicians.
- Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team.
