Part-Time Physician Assistant – Psychiatry
Next Step Psychiatry & Wellness LLC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing outpatient psychiatric practice on a part-time basis.
We are looking for a confident, dependable provider who is comfortable working independently while collaborating with our clinical team to provide high-quality psychiatric care.
Position
Part-Time Physician Assistant (PA-C) – Psychiatry
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management follow-up visits
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with a variety of mental health conditions
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within scope of practice
- Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
- Coordinate care with other members of the treatment team when appropriate
- Maintain high standards of patient care, professionalism, and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Georgia
- Current NCCPA certification
- DEA registration or ability to obtain
- Prior experience in psychiatry or behavioral health strongly preferred
- Strong psychiatric assessment and medication-management skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment
- Reliable, professional, and patient-centered
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Schedule
Part-time position with schedule flexibility. Specific days and hours can be discussed based on provider and practice needs.
Compensation
Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
