Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care across a variety of clinical settings, utilizing your advanced medical knowledge and clinical skills to deliver exceptional health services. Your expertise will support patient admission history and physical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing management, ensuring the highest standards of care. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history reviews, and physiological evaluations.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across diverse specialties including emergency medicine, critical care, geriatrics, behavioral health, gastroenterology, and infectious disease care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR/EHR systems) to document medical records accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with eligibility to practice in the respective state.
- Proven experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU/critical care, or related acute care environments.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Kipu or Sunwave is helpful.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques including sonography and laboratory specimen processing.
- Skilled in performing procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and airway management.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (children), geriatrics (elderly), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), drug enforcement regulations (DEA), and utilization review processes.
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Additional experience in telehealth services, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, or case management is highly desirable.

Pay: $90.00 – $130.00 per hour
