Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at Luminary Dermatology. The successful candidate will work closely with our board-certified dermatologists to provide high-quality care to patients seeking dermatological services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive dermatological evaluations, including patient history reviews, physical examinations, and assessment of skin conditions.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and other minor surgical procedures under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with various dermatological conditions, including but not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, and aging-related concerns.
- Prescribe medications, topical treatments, and skincare regimens as appropriate, ensuring patient safety and adherence to best practices.
- Provide patient education and counseling on skincare routines, sun protection, and overall skin health.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including dermatologists, nurses, and medical assistants, to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient charts, treatment plans, and progress notes, in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in dermatological care and maintain licensure and certification.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Florida, with eligibility for prescriptive authority.
- Previous experience in dermatology or a related field.
- Excellent clinical skills, including proficiency in performing dermatological procedures and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting skin health and wellness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical setting.
