Full Job Description
Job Title: Oncology Nurse – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Data Manager
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support both study-related data collection and follow-up data retrieval for participants enrolled in cancer biomarker studies. This role involves obtaining and reviewing relevant study-related clinical information after scheduled blood draw follow-up visits, interpreting imaging findings, and ensuring accurate data entry into Yanuvia and sponsor-required systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Review participant records following each blood draw follow-up visit (every 6 weeks).
- Collect and interpret interval data since the prior visit, including:
- Disease and survival status
- Tumor markers
- Treatment details
- Results of blood work, imaging, and pathology (when available)
- Update cancer staging when applicable
- Upload clinical results and documentation into the Yanuvia system.
- Perform PHI redaction as needed and upload appropriately de-identified records into the sponsor system.
- Obtain information by:
- Direct EMR access at participating sites, or
- Requesting records from sites when access is not available
- When records cannot be located, possibly contacting participants directly to obtain pertinent medical information and/or request records from third-party practices.
- Ensure data completeness and accuracy for sponsor-required entry fields the Yanuvia system.
Visit Frequency & Time Commitment
- Follow-up visits occur every 6 weeks for all participants according to their surgery date.
- Average time per visit: 30–45 minutes (range: 20–90 minutes).
Qualifications
- Licensed APRN or PA with oncology experience required.
- Strong clinical judgment and familiarity with oncology terminology and workflows.
- Ability to review, interpret, and accurately document medical records.
- Comfortable with EMR navigation, data entry, and patient communication.
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training required (can be completed upon hire).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
