Job OverviewJoin our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through precise specimen collection, patient support, and clinical assistance. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with compassionate service, ensuring smooth clinical operations and positive patient experiences. You will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures, collecting blood samples, and assisting healthcare providers with various medical tasks in a fast-paced environment dedicated to improving health outcomes.

Duties

  • Collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary techniques, ensuring proper labeling and handling of specimens
  • Prepare and process laboratory specimens accurately for testing, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support patient assessments
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities, including setting up exam rooms and documenting medical information
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of physiology and anatomy to perform procedures effectively and understand patient conditions
  • Follow laboratory procedures and techniques to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout visits

Requirements

  • Proven laboratory experience with knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen processing
  • Hands-on clinical laboratory experience with proficiency in phlebotomy and blood sampling methods
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and hospital protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture (blood draws) accurately and safely in a clinical setting
  • Experience taking vital signs and applying aseptic techniques during specimen collection or patient interactions
  • Prior hospital or healthcare facility experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient care and teamwork
