Full Job Description
Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) – OR-Focused Surgical Role in Jacksonville, Florida. Beaches, Boating, and Jaguars football! Don’t wait!
Join a busy, collaborative vascular surgery team and work at the top of your license. This is a hands-on, high-volume position with a strong OR focus, supporting vascular surgeons across a respected multi-hospital health system.
What You’ll Do
- First assist in a wide range of vascular surgery cases
- Manage inpatient rounding and post-op care
- Perform vascular surgery consults
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient management
- Participate in limited outpatient follow-up for continuity of care
Surgical Case Mix
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repairs
- Carotid Endarterectomy (CEA)
- Peripheral arterial bypass procedures
- Major and minor amputations
- Diverse vascular surgery cases and perioperative care
Schedule
- Monday–Friday daytime schedule
- 80% OR / 20% inpatient and clinic
- Call rotation: approximately 1:5–1:6 weekdays plus shared weekend coverage
What We’re Looking For
- Certified Physician Assistant
- 2+ years of surgical PA experience required
- Vascular surgery experience preferred
- Strong first assist skills and comfort in an acute surgical environment
