Schedule & Work Environment

Our urgent care centers provide patient care seven days per week, with provider shifts scheduled during daytime operating hours.

  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available
  • 12-hour shift schedules
  • Daytime coverage only
  • Clinic hours generally fall between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver high-quality care in a busy outpatient urgent care setting. This position offers the opportunity to independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions while helping patients receive timely, compassionate care close to home.

The ideal candidate is confident managing urgent but non-emergent cases, works well in a fast-moving environment, and is committed to providing an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries
  • Perform comprehensive medical assessments and physical examinations
  • Develop treatment plans and provide patient education regarding follow-up care
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies and imaging
  • Perform office-based procedures such as wound repair, splint application, and abscess treatment
  • Accurately document patient encounters within the electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient clinic operations and quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Current licensure in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration (CDS)
  • Current DEA registration
  • Prior clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or a comparable acute care setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Current AHA ACLS certification
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) platforms
  • Strong procedural and diagnostic skills in an outpatient setting

Pay: $70.00 – $90.00 per hour
