Physician Assistant at Yale New Haven Health – Greenwich Hospital

Yale New Haven Health at Greenwich Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team. As a licensed professional, you’ll work collaboratively with attending physicians across diverse practice settings, ensuring the highest standards of diagnostic and therapeutic patient care.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining continuity of care and resolving complex medical issues within your scope of practice and specialty standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive assessment, triage, and management of patient/family needs in inpatient, ambulatory, or outpatient settings. Collaborate with attending physicians, conducting examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, and performing procedures within institutional and state guidelines.
  • Patient Education & Support: Educate patients/families on care plans, treatment options, and available resources. Offer psychosocial support in an empathetic and professional manner as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Information Management: Ensure accurate and compliant documentation in alignment with hospital and regulatory requirements, safeguarding patient information.
  • Quality Management: Uphold high ethical standards, professionalism, and commitment to patient care. Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory standards and recommendations.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing projects to enhance professional competency, serve as a clinical resource, participate in research, and contribute to the formation of clinical protocols. Mentor and guide PA students and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Experience: At least 1-3 years preferred. Surgically inclined and highly motivated new graduates will be considered.
  • Licensure: Active PA Certification (NCCPA), Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certification, DEA License (if indicated), PALS/NRP Certification (if relevant for pediatric/neonatal care).
