JOB SUMMARY:
This clinician uses clinical skills to manage patients and supervise medical assistants in the performance of their duties. Based on Credentialing and Privileging manages pediatric, school-aged, adolescent and adult populations effectively in a rapidly growing private practice setting serving Medi-Cal patients. Works closely and effectively with front office and back office staff as well as other clinicians as needed to maintain effective patient management and efficient workflow. Must be enroll to CA Medi-Cal program or eligible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Visible supporter of the mission, vision and values of the practice.
- Maintains highest degree of confidentiality in donor, staff, client, fiscal and organizational matters; understands and meets HIPAA, OSHA and infection control requirements.
- Remains up to date on best practices relevant to the position; enhances personal skills.
- Completes continuing education as required to retain licensure or certificates and cooperates with credentialing requirements and requests.
- Provides courteous and timely assistance to internal and external customers.
- Meets time and attendance requirements for the position and uses work hours productively and appropriately.
- Follows procedures and policies in completing work and making decisions.
- Meets criminal background search clearance.
- Meets practice health requirements to include annual flu vaccination and annual proof of negative TB test. Receives hepatitis B vaccination if desired.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the care of patients in collaboration with other health professionals and members of the health care team in order to make decisions about treatment and attain health goals.
- Interfaces with the entire clinical team to engage in continuous quality improvement and development of practice-based services.
- Cares for pediatric, school-aged, adolescent and adult populations as per Credentialing and Privileging.
- Ensures timely phone follow up is made with all contacts.
- Works closely with and supervises medical assistants.
- Performs any and all practice procedures in accordance with training, licensure and as allowed per Credentialing and Privileging.
COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:
- Uses electronic medical record software
- Uses Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet software proficiently
- General knowledge of computer operations, proficiently uses a keyboard
- Familiar with medical diagnostic lab equipment
- Qualified user of primary care medical equipment and devices
- Works additional hours and completes other duties as may be requested
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:
· Two years of PA or NP experience preferred
· DEA licensed
· PA or NP licensure current; CPR and TB test current
· Bilingual (Farsi, Russian, Spanish) preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70.00 – $75.00 per hour
