Full Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Help shape student lives as you provide essential support as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic high school environment. This is a full-time contract opportunity near San Jose, CA, offering 37.5 hours per week for the full 2022-2023 school year. You’ll work onsite with a dedicated educational team, empowering adolescents to overcome barriers and reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapy license required
- Experience with high school or adolescent populations preferred
- Strong background in school-based occupational therapy
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs
- Previous experience in contract or full-time school settings is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to high school students
- Evaluate student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to cultivate positive outcomes
- Monitor, document, and report on students’ progress
- Foster a supportive and inclusive therapy environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
