Job Summary

The Provider Quality Analyst is responsible for reviewing and auditing medical documentation, providing feedback, and conducting training sessions for healthcare providers. The role involves detailed chart reviews, identifying trends in documentation, and ensuring compliance with the standard of care. This position plays a crucial role in improving the quality of medical records and supporting providers in adhering to documentation best practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Documentation Review

o Reviews flagged preliminary chart audits and conducts in depth chart analyses for providers

§ Focus on preventative care for all ages, chronic care for diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and women’s health.

o Identifies trends in documentation and recognizes training opportunities for providers

o Keeps meticulous records of audits conducted and training completed.

o Tracks results over time.

· Provides Education and Training

o Conduct 30-minute education sessions for providers with recurrent documentation flags.

o Provides additional training and educational support as necessary.

o Communicate frequently with the medical directors

Education and Experience

· BSN

· Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist certification preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical documentation analysis and improvement.

· Minimum 1 year experience in value-based care.

· Experience with Epic a plus.

Skills and Competencies

· Strong analytical skills to review and interpret medical records and documentation.

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation review.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively provide feedback and education.

· Comfortable creating PowerPoint presentations.

· Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation software.

· Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Qualifications:

· Strong understanding of CMS-HCC Risk Adjustment program and its implications.

· Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and documentation requirements.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills.

· Microsoft Excel proficiency required.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.

· Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification a plus

Education and Experience:

· Advanced practice degree (NP, PA)

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in population health management or clinical education.

· Previous experience in healthcare quality improvement initiatives is required.

· Demonstrated experience in creating scalable processes and procedures within a healthcare delivery system also required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
