Senior Physician Assistant-Certified Primary Care Provider
Hiring Range $131,519.50 to $179,743.31
Pay Range $131,519.50 to $203,855.22
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Senior Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) Primary Care Provider (PCP) is responsible for providing direct clinical customer-owner care; mentors nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and certified nurse midwives; and establishes medical protocols and treatment regimens with other clinical staff. In addition to direct clinical care, the Senior PA-C PCP is responsible for mentoring and coaching staff assigned to them on the Nuka System of Care.
Qualifications:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) in the State of Alaska; AND active Collaborative Agreement.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Demonstrated proficiency as a Physician Assistant at SCF; OR two (2) years of Physician Assistant supervisory or management experience.
- Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.

Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles Mumps and Rubella), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatis B, Influenza, TG-dap (Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis), COVID-19 vaccination is required.
