Full Job Description
We’re adding a candidate for CMA Certification or LPN License at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Center’s Weisgarber location. You’ll handle the day-to-day prep for allergy immunotherapy and support the care team. If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working behind the scenes to help patients, we’d love to meet you.
This position is Monday through Friday (40 hours/week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare allergen extracts for new patients, refills, and mail-out orders.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of stock vials and ordering immunotherapy supplies.
- Ship extract to satellite offices via UPS and occasionally deliver in person as needed.
- Learn and use:
- Rosch Vaccine Program software
- eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic health record (EHR) system
- Support the extract lab manager with day-to-day lab functions and assigned tasks.
- Assist in the shot room
- Administer allergy injections
- Maintain accurate documentation in both Rosch and paper records
- Communicate with providers regarding patient immunotherapy plans or issues.
- Adhere to all extract lab and shot room safety and procedural protocols.
- Prepare materials for skin testing and patch testing.
- Order immunizations and necessary clinical supplies.
- Prepare shipments of medications.
- Maintain active CPR certification and complete required sterility and fingertip testing.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One of the following is preferred:
- Certified CMA or Licensed LPN
- Prior experience in a clinical or laboratory setting is highly desirable
- Must have excellent attendance, communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient care
- CPR certification required (or must be obtained shortly after hire)
