Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care at our specialty medical weight loss clinic. Front end experience required to elevate both the patient experience with excellent customer service and a patient centered approach. This position requires a blend of skills and administrative support, making it essential for the Medical Assistant to be versatile and adaptable in a specialty clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures including blood pressures, biometric scale evaluations, and lab draws and injections.
- Maintaining accurate records and forms.
- Scheduling follow up visits and patient interaction utilizing effective communication
- Utilize EHR system for patient intake, while documenting information and updating medical records.
- Provide excellent patient service with a good attitude and an emphasis on positivity. Front End experience conveying friendliness and approachability.
- Prepare patients for EKG’s and other diagnostic tests as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Skills
- 1 year minimum Front End MA Experience within a clinical or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with general clinic operations including EKGs, lab draws, injections, and various other duties.
- Interest in the tenets of healthy living, bariatrics/weight loss and general wellness.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating professionalism in an environment where you can make a meaningful impact on patient care while advancing your career in the healthcare field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
