Maintenance Porter (Full-Time, Commercial)

Job Description:

This New York City based property management company is seeking an experienced Porter to work full-time at a property in Manhattan.

This candidate will execute a variety of tasks, working with the property management team to ensure general cleanliness and maintenance of the property, including light handy work. The position requires a responsible individual who will commit to being present, punctual and reliable.

Education Requirements:

· High School or GED Equivalent

Experience / Knowledge / Skills Requirements:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in building cleaning and/or maintenance

· Fire Life Safety Director (F89/T89) certification (assistance to obtain the certification is available for qualified candidates)

· Must submit to a background/credit check

· Must be Legal to work in the USA, Ability to read, write, and speak English

Duties Include:

· Buffing, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and general housekeeping of common areas, back of house, and mechanical spaces

· Walk and inspect all common areas, ensuring all areas are properly maintained

· Keep inventory of necessary building materials and supplies

· Light painting and touchup work

· Light handy work, including changing light bulbs and small paint touch up

· Monitoring building systems and alert management of any issues that occur

· Provide snow removal when applicable

· Assist with access of incoming vendors and overseeing maintenance crews

· Must be able to lift objects (50+ lbs), stand for extended time periods, follow emergency protocols, and comply with applicable safety precautions

Schedule:

· 40 hours per week, 7am – 3pm, Monday – Friday

A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered. Salary is based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
