Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level I Emergency Department, requiring ACLS certification and a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care Med/Surg Tele unit within a Level I Emergency Department facility
- Primary assignment involves caring for patients who are admitted and awaiting bed availability in the ED, either in a designated area or the hallway
- When no patients are being boarded in the ED, assignment may shift to another acute care area
- Night shift schedule: 3×12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 6:45 AM
- Every other weekend required, with some holiday coverage
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Block scheduling is available upon request
Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care / Med/Surg Tele experience required
- Valid driver’s license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers may be considered based on previous experience
- Candidates must live more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates within 25 miles are generally not considered
- 13-week contract assignment
