Whole Mind is a growing outpatient mental health organization focused on delivering compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, and treatment-resistant mental health conditions.
Our care model integrates medication management, psychotherapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Spravato (esketamine) within a collaborative, patient-centered environment designed to improve outcomes and expand access to care.
We are currently seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Mount Pleasant, Michigan clinic.

This position will begin as a part-time W-2 role, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time benefitted position as patient demand increases and the provider consistently maintains approximately 32+ patient-facing hours per week.

This position will begin following completion of credentialing, payer enrollment, and onboarding requirements, with patient scheduling beginning once approvals are finalized.
Compensation
- $60.00 – $70.00 per hour, based on experience
- Compensation is structured around patient-facing clinical hours, with opportunities for schedule growth as patient demand increases
- Required meetings, trainings, and approved organizational activities will be compensated in accordance with Whole Mind policies
Employment Structure
This position will begin as a part-time W-2 role.
As patient demand grows and the provider consistently maintains approximately 32+ patient-facing hours per week, there will be an opportunity to transition into a full-time benefitted W-2 position, including eligibility for benefits and expanded organizational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Provide medication management for psychiatric conditions including:
- Depression
- Anxiety disorders
- ADHD
- Trauma-related disorders
- Bipolar disorder
- Mood disorders
- Other psychiatric conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
- Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and treatment progress
- Collaborate closely with therapists, psychiatrists, and clinical staff to support integrated patient care
- Coordinate care with outside providers as clinically appropriate
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EMR
- Support continuity of care and patient engagement
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional/ethical standards
Preferred Experience
- Outpatient psychiatric experience strongly preferred
- Experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and mood disorders
- Experience with treatment-resistant depression preferred
- Familiarity with TMS and/or Spravato is highly preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Experience collaborating in integrated behavioral health environments preferred
QualificationsPMHNP Candidates
- Active Michigan Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license
- DEA registration and prescribing authority required
Physician Assistant Candidates
- Active Michigan Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Psychiatric experience strongly preferred
- DEA registration and prescribing authority required
