Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN – CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant for a 13-week travel contract requiring endoscopic vein harvesting skills and a valid LA or compact RN license.
Details
- CVOR setting focused on cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Day shift: 5×8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call required approximately every third day, Monday–Thursday from 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend call required every third week: Friday on-call from 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM; Saturday–Sunday on-call from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend work required every other weekend (subject to change to every third or fourth)
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Certification required: ABSA, NBSTSA, or NCCT (surgical first assistant certification)
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR/surgical first assistant experience required
- Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) experience is a hard requirement
- Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
- Copy of Driver’s License required for consideration
- Work history gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be requested for the duration of the contract
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
