Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) with specialized expertise in Urology to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to evaluate urological conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Assist in urological surgeries and procedures, such as catheterizations, cystoscopies, and other minimally invasive interventions, ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety.
- Administer injections, including Botulinum toxin treatments for bladder dysfunction and other therapeutic injections under physician supervision.
- Manage acute pain episodes and perform triage for urgent urological issues within hospital and outpatient settings.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document clinical encounters, update medical records, and manage data collection efficiently.
- Support clinical research initiatives by collecting data, maintaining research documentation, and participating in clinical trials related to urological treatments.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, post-acute care, hospice & palliative medicine cases, and chronic disease management.
- Participate in telehealth consultations to extend urological services remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high-quality patient care standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Demonstrated experience in urology or related specialties such as internal medicine or hospital medicine is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; experience with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medication administration specific to urological conditions.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is desirable; familiarity with ventilator management and airway management is a plus.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests effectively.
- Ability to handle complex cases involving infectious disease care, acute care management, pain control strategies, and emergency room protocols.
- Experience with hospital-based procedures such as catheterization, spinal taps, dialysis access management, or radiation therapy support is beneficial.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
