Las Vegas Recovery Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospitalist Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our clinical team. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient medical care under the supervision and collaboration of attending physicians. The Hospitalist PA-C will conduct assessments, formulate diagnoses, implement treatment plans, and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions within the hospital setting. The PA-C will work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the hospitalization process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient medical care, including histories, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and development of treatment plans.
- Manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions in hospitalized patients in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform daily patient rounds, assess clinical progress, and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging studies in accordance with supervisory protocols and state regulations.
- Prescribe and manage medications within the scope of practice and in compliance with Nevada state law and hospital policy.
- Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring accurate documentation and continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge instructions.
- Document all patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately, clearly, and in a timely manner.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as hospital policies, supervision requirements, and clinical protocols.
- Support nursing staff and other clinical team members through effective communication and collaborative practice.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Computer Competency:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video conferencing)
- Web browsing and intranet navigation
- Use of shared network files
- Basic operation of patient-facing medical devices (IV pumps, point-of-care equipment, cardiac/respiratory monitors)
- Effective use of clinical communication systems
- Navigation and utilization of the electronic health record (EHR)
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
- Active or eligible Nevada PA license
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1–2 years of inpatient, hospitalist, internal medicine, or acute care experience preferred (new graduates considered based on clinical background)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Pay: $120,000.00 per year
