OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Physician Assistant (Primary Care) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, ensuring patients receive high-quality, compassionate treatment in a fast-paced environment. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine health status and needs.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based protocols, including acute pain management and infectious disease care.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, injections (including immunizations), and basic airway management techniques.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation, data collection, and medical records management.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for triage, hospital admissions, discharge planning, and post-acute care to ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging or laboratory data; interpret ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for billing and documentation purposes.
  • Engage in clinical research or clinical trials related to primary care or public health initiatives to advance evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification; experience in primary care preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; telehealth experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Experience administering injections, performing suturing, and aseptic technique adherence required.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or emergency room exposure highly desirable; hospital experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding for procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses essential for accurate documentation.
  • Ability to handle complex patient assessments involving ventilator management, airway management, or neonatal ventilator use if applicable.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching, medication administration, and discharge instructions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $48,070.11 – $57,890.88 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
